What is a Print Portfolio?

A print portfolio is a collaborative effort of printmakers, with each printing an edition of a specified size, about a common theme.

All the editions are hand printed, not mechanically reproduced. They are then collated into portfolios containing one print from each artist.  These are distributed, with each participating artist generally receiving one portfolio each, which they can keep, exhibit or sell.

Generally additional portfolios are also exhibited, and in this case travel to many venues.
